At Giggles 4 Girls, we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for all children. We believe that every child has the right to feel safe, be heard, and be treated with respect and dignity.We comply with Victoria’s Child Safe Standards and actively work to prevent harm or abuse through clear policies, child-focused practices, and regular training.
Our Child Safety Principles
• We prioritise the emotional, physical, and cultural safety of every child.
• We create a fun and engaging space where children are respected, celebrated, and free to be themselves.
• We empower children to speak up and provide opportunities for them to express how they feel.
• We welcome all children regardless of their ability, cultural background, gender identity, or beliefs.
1. Child Safety is Everyone’s Responsibility
All staff, entertainers, and volunteers are required to understand and uphold our child safety policies.
2. Working With Children Checks
All team members over 18 hold valid Working With Children Checks (WWCC) and have completed reference and background checks.
3. Code of Conduct
Staff and volunteers must follow our Code of Conduct, which includes respectful communication, appropriate physical contact, and supervision at all times.
4. Culturally Safe & Inclusive Environment
We recognise and respect the diverse backgrounds of children, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, LGBTQIA+ children, and children with additional needs.
5. Clear Reporting Pathways
We encourage parents, carers, and children to speak up if something doesn’t feel right. Reports and concerns can be shared confidentially via email at [insert contact email].
6. Training and Induction
All staff undergo child safety induction and training as part of their onboarding, with regular refreshers provided.
7. Risk Management
We conduct regular risk assessments of our venues, activities, and party setups to prevent harm and ensure safe experiences.

Review and Continuous Improvement
This policy is reviewed annually and whenever significant changes are made to our services. Feedback from children, parents, and staff is welcome at any time.
